Refrigeration & HVAC Engineer Cork Talent Curve Recruitment is managing a search for a Refrigeration & HVAC Engineer on behalf of a leading cooling and climate control specialist based in Cork (Little Island). This permanent role involves servicing state-of-the-art industrial cooling systems for blue-chip Pharmaceutical, Food Processing, Cold Storage, and Hospital clients across Munster. Core Responsibilities Service & Maintenance: Execute PPM, reactive troubleshooting, and emergency repairs on industrial refrigeration and commercial HVAC plant (chillers, VRF/VRV, AHUs). Commissioning: Assist with site installations, pressure testing, evacuation, and charging of new systems. F-Gas Compliance: Conduct leak testing and maintain accurate records in compliance with environmental regulations. Electrical Diagnostics: Troubleshoot control panels, sensors, and compressor/inverter issues using schematics. Client & Rota: Provide professional on-site updates and participate in a balanced regional on-call rota. Candidate Profile Qualification: Fully qualified Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Technician (Advanced Craft/Level 6 or equivalent). Certifications: Valid F-Gas Certification (Cat 1) is essential. (Ammonia or $\text{CO}_2$ handling is highly desirable). Experience: 3+ years of post-qualification experience in commercial or industrial refrigeration. Logistics: Full, clean Irish driving licence, Safe Pass, and Manual Handling certificates. Compensation & Benefits Salary: €50,000 €65,000+ per annum (Negotiable based on experience). Package: High-spec company vehicle, fuel card, premium tools, laptop, and phone. Premium Pay: Competitive overtime rates, travel time, and a lucrative on-call allowance. Benefits: Pension contribution, healthcare allowance, and manufacturer-led technical training. Location: Cork (Little Island hub with Munster travel).
