St Mary's is seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to support our nursing services team as needed. The LPN will administer medications, assist the Nursing Services Manager, and help provide high quality health care services to residents on campus This role ensures all that all functions are performed within the scope of practice allowed by law. *This is an as needed position.*
*Reports to: *Nursing Services Manager
*Supervision Exercised: *Certified Medication Aide (CMA) and Direct Care Professionals (DCP)
*Key Responsibilities:*
* Provides an overseas quality nursing care for clients, including administering medications and treatments and staying current on updates.
* Assesses client health concerns, initiates approved standing orders, and reports to appropriate leadership as needed.
* Ensures all physicians' orders are followed accurately and obtains necessary consents from parents/guardians.
* Maintains accurate and timely documentation using the Therap system for treatments, appointments, and communications.
* Monitors Certified Medication Administration (CMA) for compliance accuracy and provides training or corrections needed.
* Coordinates care and communicates with physicians, supervisors, staff, and client guardians.
* Prepares and manages documentation for outside appointments and ensures proper follow up and reporting.
* Maintains cleanliness or organization, and stock of clinic areas, medication rooms, exam rooms, and emergency kits.
* Utilizes medical and documentation systems to track labs Comm medications, X rays, and other client care needs.
* Works collaboratively with supervisors and staff to ensure high quality care delivery to all clients.
* Responds to emergencies, disasters, and evacuations, providing leadership and support to clients and staff at St Mary's and evacuation sites.
* Assist in developing and implementing nursing policies and procedures with leadership approval.
*Qualifications:*
* Valid LPN license in the LA
* Valid Driver's License
* Ability to do general Pharmacology
Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour
