Network Operations Security Center Analyst
Role: Network Operations Security Center Analyst Location: Multiple Locations - Scott AFB, IL - MacDill AFB, FL - Fort Meade, MD Day-To-Day: This role supports data, network, and engineering operations by maintaining databases, data ingestion pipelines, and troubleshooting data-related issues. Responsibilities include performing data quality checks, improving data collection processes, and assisting data engineers with testing and implementation efforts. The position also works with senior team members to develop, integrate, and enhance tools that support program initiatives, leveraging Kibana and other Elastic technologies for monitoring, analytics, and visualization. Additional duties include designing and analyzing network changes within a Wide Area Network environment, conducting research to meet customer specifications, and ensuring system uptime of 99% or higher through effective control of network systems and tools. The role provides ad-hoc engineering support such as data gathering, modeling, forecasting, and updating technical documentation. It also contributes to hardware and software implementation efforts, supports large-scale project management by mitigating risks and controlling costs, and ensures efficient delivery of contract capabilities using industry standards and repeatable processes. Must Haves: Bachelors degree 2+ years of experience or 6+ years of experience Secret clearance, with the ability to upgrade to Top Secret Security+ Experience using Kibana, Elastic technologies, ServiceNow, and database management. Experience working with large-scale datasets sourced from service provider or enterprise network environments. Experience monitoring, troubleshooting, and configuring IP and transport network technologies within complex network infrastructures. Strong understanding of network ports, protocols, and communication flows. Skilled in analyzing network KPIs, VLAN configurations, routing, IP addressing, and subnetting, with exposure to troubleshooting and root-cause analysis for optical network issues. Practical experience supporting IP and transport technologies across wide-area or enterprise network systems. Plus: Python SQL Web development tools UI/UX concepts Compensation: $28-40/hour Compensation is commensurate with years of experience
