Overview ENERGY SYSTEMS GROUP is looking for a
Senior Construction Project Manager
to join our Public Sector East team in Central Florida. This position is remote. Frequent travel of 50-75%, including overnight travel dependent on project location, is required.
Responsibilities
Coordinate all aspects of project execution from design to installation and ongoing service and support.
Advise and assist the Engineer in estimating and managing the account; confer with engineering personnel on technical information; procure and manage outside contractors; schedule project phases; and train customers’ maintenance personnel.
Manage all aspects of project finances including change management, revenue projections, customer billings, and quarterly updates.
Act as primary point of contact for internal personnel, external contractors, subcontractors, and customer agents to coordinate all aspects of project installation.
Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and that customers are satisfied with the installation process and end result.
Manage other field assigned employees.
Essential functions
Coordinates with engineering staff to ensure prompt and accurate estimates and pricing aligned with project goals.
Develops and maintains ongoing contact with the customer to schedule and coordinate work and provide clear communication about progress, costs, and training.
Assists engineers in obtaining quotes from outside mechanical, electrical, and construction contractors and vendors; selects appropriate contractors and vendors; issues contracts; schedules and manages contractor/subcontractor work; and ensures on-time arrival of equipment and supplies.
Coordinates with ESG Management, Finance and Accounting support groups to ensure the project is on track and cost objectives are met.
Reviews Project Metrics report with the project accountant; flags items such as under-billings or margin deviation and initiates actions as needed.
Monitors labor, materials, project modifications and work completion; makes changes to achieve objectives within cost and time constraints.
Ensures compliance with OSHA, Federal, State safety regulations and ESG policies and procedures.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university, preferably in engineering or construction management.
Minimum seven (7) years engineering and construction-related experience managing construction projects.
Experience-related requirements: development of project schedules; managing project budgets; documenting projects; working with customers to achieve satisfaction; professional and ethical collaboration with others including customers; knowledge of OSHA, Federal, and State safety regulations; ability to present information to groups; problem solving and data interpretation; ability to understand complex technical instructions.
Ten (10) years’ experience in engineering and construction-related project management (bonus).
PMI PMP, CCM, DBIA certifications (bonus).

Salary range: $110,000 - $170,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
