NorthStar Care, a startup founded in 2020 focused on providing next-generation virtual treatment to patients suffering from Alcohol Use Disorder (AUD), is seeking an Advanced Physician Clinician. This is a full-time remote position, which requires working hand in hand with a highly innovative and motivated team, assuring adherence to medical policies and practices. The company uses cutting edge genetic and diagnostic testing to create personalized treatment plans for every patient. All patient appointments are performed via telehealth, and care coordination is orchestrated seamlessly using NorthStar Care’s mobile app. The Advanced Physician Clinician will be an integral part of the team, providing medical support and contributing innovative ideas to improve patient care.
Responsibilities
Provide medical support and treatment advice to patients via telehealth, and use NorthStar Care’s mobile app to coordinate care.
Create and adjust personalized treatment plans for each patient using genetic and diagnostic testing.
Track, manage and update patients’ medical records.
Identify diagnostic errors and communicate with clinical teams to correct any problems.
Work with the team to continually enhance and innovate new ways to provide virtual care.
Attend virtual meetings, and participate in company research and publications.
Provide clinical training to new team members, and create learning modules for them.
Qualifications
Medical degree and active medical license
Sub-specialty in alcohol use disorder or psychiatry preferred
Minimum of one year of experience working in a clinical setting
Experience using diagnostic and genetic testing tools to create personalized treatment plans
Demonstrated ability to communicate with patients and medical professionals
Ability to work effectively in a remote team environment
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
Must be fully licensed to practice in the United States.
