Position Status:
2-year Contract
Position Description: We’re seeking an experienced Integration Engineer to lead and support application migrations to Azure and vendor-hosted solutions from diverse source environments (on‑premises, AWS, Azure, etc.). You’ll work cross-functionally to plan, execute, and validate migrations; troubleshoot issues; and ensure secure, reliable cutovers. The ideal candidate brings a versatile background across systems administration, networking, virtualization (VMware), Active Directory/GPO, M365, and cloud services, with the ability to travel and collaborate with client stakeholders.
You will:
Plan and implement migration of applications, data, and services to Azure or vendor-hosted platforms from on‑prem, AWS, and Azure sources.
Configure and validate integrations, identity/authorization flows, and connectivity across hybrid environments.
Perform hands‑on systems administration, server configuration, and environment readiness (networking, firewall, DNS, certificates).
Troubleshoot migration issues (performance, dependency mapping, compatibility) and drive root‑cause analysis.
Support end‑user training, change management, and go‑live cutover activities.
Collaborate with product, infrastructure, and security teams to align on best practices (backups, resilience, monitoring).
Document runbooks, migration plans, test cases, and rollback procedures to ensure repeatable, compliant delivery.
Participate in client meetings (camera‑on), onsite engagements, and stakeholder updates; represent the migration team professionally.
Required Skills/Education:
Experience:
2–5+ years in Integration, Systems Engineering, or Cloud/Platform Engineering with hands‑on application migrations.
Cloud:
Proficient with Azure and AWS (resource provisioning, identity, storage, networking, monitoring).
Infrastructure:
VMware or other virtualization platforms; Windows Server, Active Directory, GPO; M365/Exchange experience.
Networking:
DNS, VPNs, routing/firewalls, certificates, load balancers; ability to diagnose connectivity issues across hybrid environments.
Migration & Support:
Environment readiness, dependency analysis, cutover plans, rollback strategies, end‑user support/training.
Scripting/Tools:
Familiarity with scripting (PowerShell, Bash) and migration/monitoring tools; strong troubleshooting and documentation skills.
Soft Skills: Excellent
communication, stakeholder engagement, and customer service; comfortable presenting and training on camera.
Travel & Access:
Valid U.S. driver’s license and U.S. passport; ability to travel domestically and internationally (~30%).
Remote Setup:
Reliable, high‑speed internet (minimum 100 Mbps down / 10 Mbps up; no satellite or cellular).
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
Deal Breakers / Must‑Haves:
Ability to travel (U.S., Canada, Ireland, U.K.).
Camera‑on for all meetings.
Proficiency in Azure and AWS.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with M365 email migrations, identity/authorization (OAuth/Graph API), and hybrid scenarios.
Exposure to Azure AD / Entra, SSO/SAML, and modern IAM practices.
Familiarity with DevOps/CI/CD, infrastructure‑as‑code (e.g., ARM/Bicep), and observability tooling.
Background in end‑user training, adoption, and change management.
