Backend Developer
who understands that a platform is only as powerful as the engine running it. At KoiReader, you won't just be building standard CRUD apps; you will be building the robust data pipelines and APIs that power the "Mission Control" for Industrial AI. You will design and maintain highly scalable backend services that process massive streams of supply chain data and AI analytics using
Node.js ,
TypeScript ,
Apollo
GraphQL ,
WebSocket ,
PostgreSQL , and
Redis . We need a builder who cares about query optimization, API latency,
Security , Documentation and writing clean, scalable code. Key Responsibilities
API Development:
Build and maintain scalable, efficient, and secure APIs using
Node.js
and
Apollo
GraphQL . You will ensure our frontend teams get exactly the data they need, when they need it. Database Management:
Design robust schemas and write optimized queries for
PostgreSQL . You understand how to structure relational data for complex industrial use cases. Caching & Performance:
Implement intelligent caching strategies using
Redis
to minimize database load and ensure our real-time dashboards update in milliseconds. Type-Safe Architecture:
Write clean, modular, and maintainable backend code utilizing
TypeScript . You rely on strict typing to catch bugs before they reach production. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with the Frontend, AI, and DevOps teams to integrate computer vision data and deploy seamless end-to-end features. Skills & Requirements
Backend Foundation:
2 years of hands-on experience building backend services with
Node.js
and Express/Fastify. Type Safety:
Strong proficiency in
TypeScript . You understand how to build robust, typed backend services. GraphQL Expertise:
Solid experience with
Apollo
GraphQL
(Server). You know how to design efficient schemas, write resolvers, and avoid the N+1 query problem. Relational Databases:
Hands-on experience with
PostgreSQL . You are comfortable with complex joins, migrations, and basic query optimization. In-Memory Datastores:
Experience using
Redis
for caching, session management, or pub/sub mechanisms. Version Control:
Solid understanding of Git and collaborative PR workflows. Brownie Points
Cloud Platforms:
Experience deploying and managing services on
AWS
or
Azure
(EC2, S3, Azure App Services, etc.). DevOps Awareness:
Basic knowledge of
Docker
containerization and CI/CD pipelines. Authentication:
Experience implementing JWT, OAuth2, or SSO integrations. What We Offer
