Field Service Technician

Responsibilities
Execute a variety of technical field service duties, including new product installations, equipment start-up, functional testing, and customer training.
Serve as a professional company representative, delivering exceptional customer service at customer sites and in all service support roles.
Interpret and work with blueprints, drawings, schematics, manuals, and other specifications.
Document machine data, service history, and quality information accurately.
Assist customers with parts identification and ordering.
Demonstrate products as needed to support sales efforts.
Communicate effectively with regional managers to ensure customer expectations are met and important information is conveyed to relevant parties.
Maintain timely communication of expenses and service reports on a weekly basis.
Recommend changes and improvements based on field service activities.
Travel domestically up to 100% and occasionally internationally to support service areas.
Skills Technical Skills
Proficient with computer systems (Microsoft Office environment, internal network).
Experience with computer hardware, BIOS, operating systems, networking, and CAD/CAM is advantageous.
Skilled in using multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other electronic and precision mechanical equipment.
Valid, clean driver’s license and credit card.
Ability to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds consistently, with occasional heavier lifting.
Comfortable working in environments with dust, odor, oil, fumes, and noise.
Interpersonal Skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to comprehend and communicate technical concepts effectively.
Quick learner with an aptitude for new technologies.
Strong time and project management skills.
Detail-oriented and thorough.
Collaborative and able to work well with others.
Qualifications
Two-year Technical Associate's Degree (Mechanical, Electrical, or Laser Technology) or equivalent technical school training and military/industrial experience.
Minimum of two years of hands‑on electronic/assembly repair experience, with a preference for CNC fabrication machinery equipment repair.
Valid, clean driver’s license and credit card.
Willingness to travel domestically up to 100% to support customer service needs.
