Job Description:
We’re looking for a civil engineer with 3–6 years of site design or land development experience who’s ready to step into real project leadership. You’ll manage commercial development projects end-to-end, owning client relationships, coordinating internal teams, and driving projects from kickoff through construction support. Structured PE mentorship and a clear growth path are included.
Responsibilities:
Lead commercial site development projects including timelines, budgets, and quality standards
Serve as primary client contact for technical discussions and progress updates
Coordinate drafters and junior engineers; review deliverables for consistency and quality
Oversee site layout, grading, drainage, and utility design
Prepare and review stormwater calculations and detention sizing
Lead permitting efforts with municipal, county, and state agencies (including TCEQ)
Conduct site visits to verify existing conditions and support construction administrationManage project documentation including design decisions and submittal packages
Support proposals and business development efforts
Mentor junior team members in technical skills and project coordination
Qualifications:
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
EIT certification (PE license preferred)
3–6 years of civil site design or land development experience
Demonstrated project coordination or management experience
Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D (grading, pipe networks, surfaces)
Experience with stormwater calculations and detention basin sizing
Strong written and verbal communication skills for client interaction
Self-starter comfortable working independently in a remote environment
Texas-based candidates only
Preferred:
PE license in Texas or ability to obtain within 12 months
Experience with HydroCAD, StormCAD, or AutoCAD SSA
Familiarity with Texas development codes and TCEQ regulations
Experience coordinating with surveyors, geotechnical engineers, and contractors
Reports to:
Senior Professional Engineer
Expected Salary:
$90,000 – $135,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
