About The Role The Laotian-English Bilingual Healthcare Customer Service Representative role offers an exciting opportunity to work remotely from your home in California. In this position, you will serve as a vital link between consumers and healthcare providers, assisting individuals with their healthcare benefit inquiries and ensuring they receive accurate and helpful information. Your primary goal will be to provide exceptional customer service by engaging thoughtfully with consumers, understanding their needs, and guiding them through healthcare options and processes. This role is ideal for compassionate, patient, and bilingual individuals who are eager to make a positive impact on people's health and wellbeing while working in a dynamic, supportive environment.
Qualifications
Minimum of 6 months of customer service experience, preferably in healthcare or related fields
Bilingual proficiency in English and Laotian, with excellent verbal and written communication skills in both languages
High school diploma or equivalent required
Strong empathy, patience, and attentive listening skills to effectively support diverse customer needs
Comfortable working with computer systems and Windows-based applications
Dedicated, distraction-free home workspace that ensures confidentiality and productivity
Reliable high-speed wired internet connection with a minimum speed of 25 Mbps
Responsibilities
Respond promptly and professionally to incoming customer calls, addressing their healthcare benefit questions and concerns
Engage with customers thoughtfully to understand their unique needs and provide tailored assistance
Research across multiple systems and databases to resolve inquiries accurately and efficiently
Guide consumers through healthcare options, benefits, and navigation processes with clarity and patience
Maintain high-quality interactions by adhering to company standards and protocols
Manage a high volume of interactions while demonstrating professionalism and attention to detail
Follow a structured schedule, including designated breaks and lunch periods, to ensure consistent service delivery
Participate actively in training sessions, coaching, and ongoing professional development opportunities
