OVERVIEW As a Designer at Hines, you'll play a crucial role in our mission by ensuring that engineering design tasks are executed flawlessly and delivered to our project managers with precision. You'll work closely with our Design Leads and POD Leaders to meet and exceed expectations, driving our projects forward with determination and innovation.
REQUIRED CANDIDATE PROFILE An ideal candidate will have experience in producing irrigation designs in 2D AutoCad. LandF/X experience a plus. Candidate should be able to select proper irrigation equipment for project, understand difference in irrigation controller's functionality, and be able to calculate overall water usage for project site. Experience working in the commercial construction process and balancing project budget considerations with equipment selection. Candidate will manage multiple design projects simultaneously and ensure on time client commitments are met. Candidate will utilize Hines project management software to manage internal budget and timeline commitments in conjunction with department leaders. Candidate will have a min 2yr associate degree or equivalent experience in Mechanical, Civil, or Plumbing engineering or CID certification from Irrigation Association (IA).
RESPONSIBILITIES Meeting Commitments: Deliver design/consulting tasks according to agreed schedules, ensuring our project managers' needs are consistently met.
Quality Assurance: Exceed expectations for the quality of deliverables, ensuring excellence in every aspect of our services.
Financial Stewardship: Complete tasks within budget constraints, adhering to our policies and procedures without compromise.
Process Excellence: Champion the development and improvement of internal processes, driving efficiency and effectiveness at every turn.
SPECIAL WORK CONDITIONS Travel: Occasional travel may be required for client meetings and site inspections, representing our commitment to customer satisfaction.
Field Work: Participate in on-site inspections as needed, demonstrating resilience and adaptability in challenging environments.
Flexibility: Be prepared to work outside regular hours when project demands are necessary, demonstrating dedication to meeting our delivery commitments.
