Editorial Operations Manager
Reports to:
Editor-in-Chief & CEO
Location:
Remote, U.S. based
Position:
Full-time (40 hrs/week)
Editorial Operations Manager to support our growing family of newsletters. This role will oversee the daily operations of YLE’s newsletters, while also ensuring coordination with our other programs and platforms. You will help steward the quality of our work and ensure we consistently deliver on our promise to provide nuance and evidence to inform the decisions people make when facing complex public health issues.
We are a people‑powered platform redefining public health. We equip people to make evidence‑based decisions — despite the noise— on a wide range of public health issues, from COVID-19 to reproductive care to seed oils. We publish a range of national and state newsletters, as well as guides, resources, explainers, and in‑depth reports on timely issues.
Oversee the day‑to‑day editorial workflow, ensuring that content moves efficiently from idea to publication while maintaining clarity, consistency, and brand integrity. You’ll also work closely with the community engagement manager to ensure that YLE content is responding to real‑world health concerns and informed by community questions. You should have a deep appreciation for the brand, a strong grasp of editorial operations, and a commitment to enabling excellent work across the team. You will serve as the main point of coordination across writers, editors, freelancers, and partners.
We regularly collaborate with other science communicators and public health advocates from diverse backgrounds who reach different audiences. A desire to build relationships and find common ground — while protecting our evidence‑based, empathetic approach to science communication — is a must.
