Job Description Applications Engineers are trusted partners to our customers recommending solutions that address their needs and drive profitable growth for Amcor. Application Engineers provide technical support to troubleshoot existing products, enhance existing products, and support new product developments.
What You Get to Do
Possess in-depth knowledge of Amcor products and services and promote to customers.
Handle complex customer queries and provide detailed product information.
Stay apprised of externally relevant technology changes and trends that impact the healthcare industry.
Continuously learn and share knowledge to advance capability across the organization.
Create and implement qualification and scale‑up protocols for growth and spec change actions.
Build strong customer relationships, trust, and credibility by demonstrating a deep understanding of the customer’s industry and challenges.
Provide expert guidance and support to solve the customer’s unique application issues in a timely fashion, accelerating commercialization.
Focus on customer new product introductions to specify Amcor solutions during early design stages.
Reinforce Amcor’s quantified value proposition, driving sales growth and customer retention, helping cement Amcor as a supplier of choice.
Understand the customers’ operations better than they do to enhance the Amcor Value Proposition through activities such as process improvement and value engineering.
Schedule and execute product performance and engineering audits to capture a quantifiable value for the customer.
Partner with appropriate stakeholders to ensure action and resolution to audit findings.
Work in partnership with Sales, delivering timely, comprehensive solutions tailored to each customer to accelerate new sales growth.
Collaborate with R&D and Marketing to provide actionable feedback on product performance for the customer’s unique applications.
Collaborate with R&D to identify portfolio gaps, product enhancements and new product ideas as well as competitive trends and continuous improvement opportunities.
Participate in training sessions, trade shows, seminars and account reviews.

What We Want From You
Undergraduate degree in an engineering field required.
Min 5 years technical experience in an engineering, manufacturing process or field technical role; flexible packaging and thermoforming technical experience preferred.
Strong conceptual and analytical skills, attention to details.
Strong mechanical and technical ability and aptitude.

Able to manage multiple priorities.
Excellent project management skills; ability to drive execution of plans.

Compensation The starting salary for this position is expected to be between $98,000 to $122,500; however, base pay offered may vary within the full salary range $98,000 to $147,000 depending on job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. Base pay information is based on national averages and a geographic differential may be applied based on work location. Position may also be eligible for Amcor’s Management Incentive Plan / Sales Incentive Plan, which is an annual bonus program based on business and individual performance, as well as medical coverage and other health and welfare benefits.
The salary range provided reflects the anticipated base pay for this role at the time of this posting. This range is applicable to positions performed in jurisdictions with pay transparency requirements, including CA, CO, CT, HI, IL, MD, MA, MN, NV, NJ, NY, RI, VT, WA, Washington DC, as well as remote roles that may be performed in these locations. Compensation for roles performed outside of these jurisdictions may vary. The Company reserves the right to modify this range at any time.
