Position Overview The Physical Security Solutions Architect designs, positions, and delivers end‑to‑end physical security solutions that protect people, facilities, and assets. This role blends deep technical expertise in physical security technologies with customer‑facing consultative skills, working closely with Sales, Engineering, and Delivery teams to translate business and security requirements into scalable, compliant, and cost‑effective designs.

Primary Duties
Design comprehensive physical security architectures mainly including video surveillance (CCTV/IP cameras), access control systems, and intrusion detection.
Develop logical and physical security system designs that align with customer risk profiles, regulatory requirements, and facility constraints.
Produce architecture diagrams, Bills of Materials (BOMs), Statements of Work (SOWs), and technical proposals for customer approval.
Pre‑Sales & Customer Engagement
Partner with Account Executives to scope opportunities, assess customer needs, and position value‑driven physical security solutions.
Deliver solution demonstrations, proof‑of‑concepts (POCs), and technical presentations to both technical and executive stakeholders.
Clearly communicate complex physical security concepts to audiences with varying levels of technical expertise.
Implementation Oversight & Technical Leadership
Provide architectural oversight during installation, commissioning, and acceptance testing of physical security systems.
Act as the technical escalation point for complex integration, performance, or interoperability issues.
Collaborate with internal delivery teams and third‑party integrators to ensure solution integrity and design adherence.
Evaluate and recommend security hardware and software platforms, ensuring best‑fit solutions for customer and organizational needs.
Stay current on emerging physical security technologies, standards, and threats.
Contribute to the development of design standards, reference architectures, and reusable solution templates.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
Coordinate with IT, Facilities, Network, and Cybersecurity teams to ensure secure, resilient, and scalable system integration.
Support internal enablement by assisting with training, best practices, and peer reviews.
Competencies
5+ years of Experience with one or more of the following technologies: Access Control, Video Surveillance, Intrusion and IT Infrastructure.
Familiar with a variety of security device manufacturers, certifications preferred but not required.
Ability to be agile and manage your own workload with little supervision.
Ability to be a productive contributor in a remote working environment.
Required Education & Experience
5+ years of pre‑sales, customer‑facing, engineering experience and 5+ years’ experience in estimating, design or engineering.
Experience in the industry or related experience working with large‑scale projects or national deployments.
Experience designing, configuring and engineering Video Surveillance, Access Control, Intrusion, infrastructure, data networks.
Intermediate Excel skills including formatting and formula creation.
Working knowledge of IP Networking
Physical Demands
Regular use of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other office equipment.
Regular, repetitive movements such as typing, mouse movements, and scrolling. Ability to hear and understand spoken communications, both in person and via remote communication tools (e.g., phone, video conferencing).
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
Ability to see and read computer screens and printed documents, as well as adjust focus. This includes prolonged periods of looking at a computer screen.
Ability to travel to meet with clients or attend industry events.
Expected Hours of Work Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm.
Travel Requirements None
Salary Range $90,000 - $110,000 depending upon experience.
