Smart Communications is looking for an experienced Sales Executive who will be responsible for selling into our Core Industries in North America (Financial Services, Insurance, Healthcare Payers, State and Local). Quota attainment will be realized by creating a strong pipeline of direct business opportunities as well as identifying and cultivating business partners to drive revenue.
Candidates should be comfortable with complex SaaS sales and 6‑9‑month sales cycles. Working with senior business contacts as well as IT contacts within customers, prospects and partners is required.

The responsibilities of the role include:
Delivering revenue, and developing and managing territory to exceed quota in annual SaaS targets, producing consistent quarter‑by‑quarter revenue through new business opportunities.
Build an understanding and knowledge of Smart Communications’ competitive advantage within the sector and be fully confident presenting and demonstrating this to prospects and partners.
Work with internal teams to develop new business opportunities through specific marketing activities including conferences, campaigns and seminars using extensive market knowledge and leveraging our partner network.
Demonstrating strong communication and collaborative working skills by being able to:
Map and build senior level relationships across the sector and partner organizations.
Partner effectively with internal teams, including pre‑sales, professional services, alliances, and support to ensure that prospects’ and customers’ needs are met.
Ensuring Smart Communications remains ahead of the competition by sharing competitive knowledge acquired.
Effectively managing the sales processes to drive maximum revenue, including:
Manage the commercial & legal negotiation process in partnership with Smart Communications’ legal representatives.
Manage all stages of the sales process to utilize Smart Communications’ resources in the most effective way.
Maintain accurate account, contact and opportunity records in Salesforce.com on a weekly basis.
Be an active team member of the global Smart Communications team by:
Participating in Smart Communications company initiatives.
Familiarizing self and complying with company procedures.
Always being an advocate for Smart Communications.
What we’re looking for:
5‑7 years’ experience in a direct selling environment
Experience selling to some of our Core Verticals (Financial Services, Insurance, Healthcare Payers, State and Local Government)
Constantly meet and exceed financial revenue targets with both hunting and farming sales skills.
Build and maintain a sales pipeline giving foundation to exceed fiscal revenue targets.
Develop territory plan with Smart Communications marketing and & business development groups.
Maintain Account plans for major opportunities and target accounts.
Build and maintain a set of productive partnerships.
Demonstrated strong product and competitive knowledge.
Solution Selling Skills.
Performance Indicators:
Constantly meet and exceed financial revenue targets with farming and hunting skills.
Build and maintain a sales pipeline giving foundation to exceed fiscal revenue targets.
Develop territory plan with Smart Communications marketing and business development groups.
Maintain Account plans for major opportunities and target accounts.
Build and maintain a set of productive partnerships.
Demonstrated strong product and competitive knowledge.
