About the Role We're hiring a Head of Product to own product strategy and drive the outcomes that make CADchat indispensable for the teams we serve. This is a fully remote, hands‑on leadership role reporting directly to the CEO.
Responsibilities
Product Strategy & Direction: Define target users, jobs‑to‑be‑done, positioning, and the "why now" behind priorities. Own prioritization and roadmap; make hard tradeoffs and keep the team focused on outcomes.
Continuous Discovery Leadership: Talk to customers weekly, watch real workflows, and turn insights into clear product bets. Lead discovery across internal stakeholders and key partners to gather needs and opportunities.
End‑to‑End Ownership: Drive product direction from discovery through decision, delivery, and iteration. Define what "great" looks like, validate it with users, and drive it into the product with high craft and speed.
Cross‑Functional Alignment: Work closely with CEO, design, engineering, and go‑to‑market teams to ensure what we build is usable, valuable, sellable, and aligned to strategy—without becoming a feature factory.
Artifact Creation & Communication: Write crisp problem briefs, PRDs, user stories, success metrics, and decision logs. Communicate clearly in written, verbal, and visual formats to align teams.
User‑Focused Product Development: Build strong processes for engaging directly with users and incorporating feedback into decisions. Partner with design to ensure workflows are intuitive, learnable, and fast for real engineering teams.
Product Operations & Metrics: Instrument the product, define key funnels, monitor adoption/retention, run experiments, and iterate. Build feedback loops with sales/support/CS to translate objections and friction into product improvements.
Cadence & Systems: Establish a regular operating rhythm—weekly discovery, roadmap reviews, metric reviews, and launch retros.
Qualifications
Outcome‑driven product leadership: You can lead product direction end‑to‑end. You understand product strategy, prioritization, and execution.
Strong qualitative research instincts: You pull real insight from messy customer reality and avoid opinion wars.
Clear writing and structural thinking: You frame problems crisply, form good hypotheses, make explicit tradeoffs, and make decisive recommendations.
High UX craft bar: You care about usability, learnability, and workflow design—especially for complex B2B tools.
Comfort with ambiguity: You can create clarity without needing a giant process or prescribed framework.
Strong cross‑functional partnership: You align CEO, design, engineering, and go‑to‑market without politics or layers.
Hands‑on leadership: You operate as a highly engaged first/core PM—no big team, no hiding, real ownership.
Excellent communication skills: You communicate clearly in written, verbal, and visual formats, especially during uncertainty or disagreement.
Evidence‑based decision‑making: You can hold a strong point of view and change your mind quickly when evidence shows you're wrong.
Required Skills
Experience with CAD, PLM, or manufacturing workflows
Experience with highly technical B2B collaboration products
Background in early‑stage or scaling organizations where building structure was key
Comfort sketching concepts or contributing visually to product discussions
Preferred Skills
Love getting close to users and letting reality drive decisions (you want to watch workflows, not just read tickets).
Prefer small, high‑leverage teams where you can move fast and own real outcomes.
Enjoy writing and communicating clearly—especially when there's uncertainty or disagreement.
Care about craft and details, but you're not precious—you ship, learn, and iterate.
Pay range and compensation package

401(k) plan with up to 6% company match, 100% vested day one.
Choice of Traditional PPO or High Deductible Medical plans, with corresponding FSA or HSA accounts.

Dental, Vision, and other ancillary benefits.
Equal Opportunity Statement Culture & Environment: Fully remote role with flexibility to work from anywhere. We value thoughtful execution, clear ownership, and building systems that scale.
