The Account Executive (AE) plays a critical role as the quarterback of Imgix’s revenue growth by converting new business and driving expansion and upsells within a defined sales territory. AEs are responsible for the full sales cycle process from discovery to close within their book of business. AEs are responsible for generating and maintaining a healthy pipeline of opportunities through their own prospecting activities. This is a fully remote position.
The AE role is measured on ACV (Annual Contract Value). ACV is defined as the amount of new Annual Contract Value as a result of a new service order being executed. In a simple example, if a customer has $10k of existing spend and a new service order raises the customer’s annualized spend to $25k, the ACV is $15k.

Our service delivers impactful, engaging, and fast imagery through a top-tier media delivery platform with Imgixs on-demand image and video processing pipeline. Imgix enables customers to increase the value of their imagery and get back to building amazing things.
Imgix currently operates as a mostly remote workplace with employees distributed around the world. This role can be remote, with the option of being based in our San Francisco office as frequently as desired.

Compensation: From $112,500 to $130,000 per year. On-target earnings (OTE) range from $225,000 to $260,000 annually, which includes a variable incentive component. Individual pay is based on job-related skills, experience, and education. The base pay range shown does not include bonus, equity, or benefits.
Remote/work arrangement and benefits include 401(k), medical, dental, and vision; flexible vacation time; parental leave; and salaries that align with industry averages.
Responsibilities
Identify, engage, and qualify new business opportunities through outbound prospecting (email, phone, LinkedIn, etc.).
Identify, engage, and qualify expansion, upsell, and renewal opportunities.
Conduct deep discovery to understand a customer’s business model and pains.
Partner with BDRs on prospecting and outreach strategy to generate new business opportunities.
Partner with CSMs on accounts with existing spend for growth and expansion strategy.
Maintain a consistent volume of top-of-funnel activity (calls, sequences, meetings).
Guide prospects through the buying process, taking ownership at every stage.
Act as a product and industry expert, regarded as a valued strategic advisor by customers and peers.
Maintain Salesforce hygiene and forecast accuracy.
Requirements
3–5+ years in SaaS sales with experience owning quotas and closing business.
Familiarity with SaaS and B2B business environments.
Proficiency with core sales tools, particularly Salesforce, Gong, Outreach, Slack, and Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides).
Experience selling technical solutions to a technical audience.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with experience presenting to technical teams and decision-makers in enterprise organizations.
Knowledge in areas such as images, CDNs, DAMs, and website performance is highly beneficial (not mandatory).
Basic understanding of or experience with Codepen and HTML is a plus.
Willingness to engage in occasional travel for client meetings, conferences, and related events.
