Position Location:
100% remote
Responsibilities
Evaluates each client, or potential client's, risk factors against actuarial manuals and calculating rates and factors accordingly.
Utilize various systems and tools to obtain necessary data and accurately complete and track assigned work.
Responsible for a book of business of renewing accounts and writing new business at profitable levels to help achieve overall business targets including both revenue and margin.
Compiles data reflecting the program's yearly loss ratios with medical trend factored in against current offerings at different excess reinsurance levels.
Consult Imagine360 staff and customers to obtain further information, review applicable insurance laws, or explain underwriting policies.
Provides timely and thorough follow-up with staff, internal and external customers.
Apply in-depth knowledge of the Underwriter field to offer feedback for decisions and innovation strategies that enhance organizational growth and visibility for Stop Loss.
Reviews work for accuracy and recommend pricing alternatives based on financial analysis, underwriting principles, and business strategy.
Provides post sale /renewal evaluation to ensure actual results are consistent with final proposal.
Conducts audits on premiums, to ensure all receivables are accounted for and accurate.
Provides feedback and insights regarding changes to underwriting guidelines for the program.
Serves on committees, work groups, and/or process improvement teams to assist in improving quality/customer satisfaction.
Collaborates with others and cross-departmentally to improve or streamline procedures.
Required Experience/Education
Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or related field required.
3+ years of underwriting experience, 1+ years of experience in Stop Loss.
Medical and Stop Loss underwriting experience for a risk-taking organization strongly preferred.
Skills and Abilities
Working knowledge of computers and software including but not limited to Microsoft Office products.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Working knowledge of business intelligence.
Working knowledge of problem solving and decision-making skills.
Adept at collaboration and teamwork.
