Do you have a passion for driving IT modernization? The University of Dayton is seeking a Junior IT Project Manager to join our Project Management Office (PMO). This role is designed for an emerging project professional who excels in a hybrid Waterfall/Agile environment. You will play a critical role in the modernization of our enterprise platforms and systems, ensuring that development, modernization, and enhancement projects are delivered with precision and alignment to University business goals. Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in IT, business, management, or related technical field
One or more years of experience as a project coordinator or junior project manager
Knowledge of traditional (waterfall), Agile, Scrum, and Kanban project management methodologies
Knowledge of, and experience using, project management software such as Jira, ServiceNow, TeamDynamix, Asana, or similar
General knowledge of the software development lifecycle and IT Operations
Strong organization skills with demonstrated ability to meet tight deadlines and to manage competing priorities
Evidence of strong communication skills - written, oral, interpersonal
Ability to gather business requirements and translate requirements into user stories
Ability to facilitate technical solutioning discussions to achieve consensus from business partners and technical experts on design and implementation plans
Ability to manage multiple tasks, timelines, and documentation
Preferred Qualifications
Professional project management certification from an accredited institution (PMI, Agile, Scrum)
Business process mapping and optimization experience
Demonstrated experience successfully delivering projects on time and on budget
Ability to promote inclusive excellence in the workplace
