At Tenderly, we're not just shaping the future of blockchain technology – we're defining it. As a full-stack Web3 infrastructure platform, we provide multi-network support and a comprehensive ecosystem that covers every aspect of the blockchain journey, from initial encounters to advanced Node solutions and serverless cloud compute functions.
Our mission is crystal clear: to empower developers worldwide to harness the full potential of blockchain technology for creating innovative products. With our robust Web3 infrastructure platform, we've already enabled tens of thousands of developers to work more efficiently with blockchain. We thrive on tackling complex challenges head‑on, crafting solutions that push the boundaries of what's possible in the blockchain world. From developing bespoke Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) implementations to designing proprietary storage layers optimized for our advanced blockchain node solutions, our team is at the forefront of industry innovation.
About the role As a Blockchain Engineer at Tenderly, you’ll help build the intelligence layer that powers some of the most advanced security products in Web3. Your work will enable real‑time understanding of blockchain activity, fueling systems that protect millions of users and are integrated by leading companies across the ecosystem. You’ll design and build backend services that analyze large volumes of EVM-based transactions, extract meaningful insights, and drive powerful detection and monitoring capabilities. This is a high‑impact role at the intersection of blockchain infrastructure, security, and developer experience.
What you’ll do
Design and build backend systems that process and analyze blockchain transactions at scale.
Develop services that extract meaningful insights and metadata from smart contract interactions.
Work with large datasets and ensure data integrity, scalability, and low‑latency access to blockchain information.
Collaborate with the product and engineering teams to deliver high‑quality developer tools and monitoring solutions.
Implement robust and fault‑tolerant distributed systems capable of handling terabytes of blockchain data.
Maintain a strong focus on correctness, security, and performance when dealing with blockchain data and smart contract analysis.
About You
Solid experience working with blockchain systems, preferably EVM‑based chains (Ethereum, Optimism, Arbitrum, Polygon, etc.).
Hands‑on experience building backend tools, data pipelines, or developer‑focused products in the blockchain space.
Strong programming skills in Go, or willingness to quickly ramp up on Go.
Good understanding of smart contracts and experience writing or auditing Solidity code.
Experience working with distributed systems and/or large‑scale backend systems.
Solid understanding of system design principles, including data consistency, partitioning, and scalability.
Comfortable working with large volumes of unstructured and semi‑structured data.
Nice to Have
Experience building data‑intensive systems (e.g., indexing services, block explorers, or analytics platforms).
Familiarity with common blockchain data structures (e.g., transactions, receipts, logs, traces).
Contributions to open‑source blockchain projects.
Experience working with Kubernetes, Kafka, or large‑scale database systems like PostgreSQL.
Familiarity with security best practices in Web3 and blockchain infrastructure.
