PCAs assist patients with personal needs and activities of daily living, collects data, and ensures the patient has a safe, organized environment. They assist with patient care within the scope permitted and under the direction of a clinician and supports the unit with a variety of patient logistic, clerical, equipment/supply, and charge reconciliation duties. The ideal candidate will be someone who is eager to gain exposure to up to 7 different departments in a float pool environment. Here you will have a unique opportunity to work with individuals in different department atmospheres with differing patient populations. Patient ratios range from 7:1 to 8:1. Primary assigned tasks will include working as a sitter in patient care and working on the floor to assist patients with walking, washing, and assorted needs while providing exceptional patient care.
