An exciting opportunity for a Buying and Category Manager to join an airline catering & retail company based in the Airport Logistics Park, St. Margrets. We offer a comprehensive range of Inflight Catering, Onboard Retail and Logistics services across all of the Irish airports. This sucessful candiate is responsible for leading procurement and category strategy across the business, ensuring the seamless supply of high-quality products and services to meet the ever-changing demands of airline catering operations. You will act as a key commercial partner, driving cost efficiencies, supplier performance, product innovation, and retail growth across all Irish sites. Role Develop and deliver a 3-year category strategy aligned to commercial and corporate objectives Lead end-to-end strategic sourcing, including supplier selection, negotiation, and contract management Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining product quality and service levels Monitor market trends and manage supply risks, implementing contingency plans where needed Create and execute product and category plans to drive sales and profitability Manage category performance against KPIs, implementing corrective actions where required Lead weekly trading reviews, identifying risks and opportunities Support new product development (NPD) and go-to-market strategies Build strong relationships with suppliers, airlines, and internal stakeholders Oversee supplier onboarding, performance, and compliance Collaborate with cross-functional teams (commercial, culinary, supply chain, operations) Partner with dnata teams across the UK, Europe, and globally Ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and governance frameworks Manage procurement documentation, contracts, and service level agreements (SLAs) Track spend, savings, and supplier performance metrics Support tender processes and new business opportunities with commercial insight This list is not exhaustive, accountabilities may vary dependant on locality or role complexity and may include any other duties considered reasonable by the line manager. The Requirments Minimum 5 years experience in Category Buying or Procurement Strong commercial acumen with experience managing budgets and KPIs Proven ability in strategic sourcing, supplier negotiation, and contract management Experience working in a fast-paced, multi-site or complex environment Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills Experience with ERP systems and source-to-pay processes Self-motivated, proactive, and results-driven As we are a regulated entity within the aviation industry, every sucessful candiate must go through a 5 year background and garda vetting as part of our onboarding process.
