This is a highly visible, hands‑on
Sales Engineering
role at the intersection of customer engagement, field engineering, and technical execution. The Sales Engineer will partner directly with leading drone and robotics OEMs, supporting integrations from early technical evaluation through field validation and deployment.
Role Overview The Sales Engineer will own customer‑facing technical engagements, solving complex RF and networking challenges while ensuring successful integration and adoption of next‑generation wireless systems. This role reports into Sales Engineering leadership and works cross‑functionally with Sales, Product, and Engineering teams.
Candidate Profile Required
3–7+ years in a customer‑facing technical role (Sales Engineering, Field Applications, Solutions Engineering, or Integration Engineering)
Hands‑on experience with RF propagation, antennas, and wireless networking
Background integrating radios or communications systems into
UAVs, autonomous platforms, or robotics systems
Strong communicator who performs well in field and customer‑facing environments
High ownership mindset with accountability for outcomes
Preferred
Experience with mesh networking and MANET architectures
TCP/IP configuration and troubleshooting expertise
Exposure to DoD programs, defense primes, or prototype programs
Experience working with autonomy OEMs (drones, AMRs, maritime robotics)

Manage
10–15 active customer integrations , guiding each through structured technical milestones
Drive a target
≥90% technical win rate
across evaluated programs
Field Testing & Validation
Support UAV, UGV, and USV deployments through disciplined field testing, execution, and troubleshooting
Achieve
≥95% on‑time test milestone completion
RF & Networking Problem Solving
Diagnose and resolve challenges across:
RF propagation and link budgets
Antenna performance and interference mitigation
EMI/EMC considerations
Power constraints and system integration
TCP/IP connectivity and mesh networking
Capture and document learnings to improve future deployments
Operational Discipline & CRM Ownership
Maintain
≥90% CRM accuracy
through timely updates, status tracking, and forecasting
Enable clear internal visibility and cross‑functional alignment
Onsite Customer Engagement
Travel up to
50%
to lead workshops, demos, validation events, and field activities
Build strong customer confidence, referenceability, and long‑term adoption
What Success Looks Like First 6 Months
Full ownership of 10–15 active integrations with structured execution plans
Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot RF and networking issues in the field
Successful support of multiple customer test events
Strong CRM hygiene and internal communication
Within 12 Months
Consistently high technical win rates
