Who We Are HealthEfficient is a growing, mission-driven not-for-profit organization that supports more than 60 member Community Health Centers (CHCs) and other “safety net” primary care providers around the country and the US Affiliated Pacific Islands (USAPI). Our mission focuses on improving clinical and operational quality through the use of Health Information Technology (HIT) of CHCs, providing excellent health care to some of the most vulnerable populations in the country.
About the Role We’re seeking a
Senior Program Manager, HIT Programs , to serve as a trusted consultant for community health providers, guiding them on the use of HIT to deliver tailored, impactful solutions that drive measurable improvements in care delivery and health outcomes. You will play a critical role in advancing Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems—especially
eClinicalWorks , and also
AthenaOne or NextGen —as well as patient engagement platforms and population health tools. Your expertise will help community health centers align their HIT and workflows with quality improvement objectives and industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as a consultant to community health providers, delivering guidance and training on HIT solutions to optimize care delivery
Lead HIT projects , including
EHR
implementations, system enhancements, and workflow optimizations.
Assess health center EHR configurations and workflows, providing clear, actionable recommendations.
Deliver engaging training sessions
(both remote and in-person) to help health center staff maximize their HIT tools.
Develop best practice workflows
and training materials tailored to community health center operations.
Facilitate peer-learning sessions
and workgroups focused on data sharing and HIT best practices.
Guide health centers in leveraging HIT to support
value-based care, interoperability, and compliance with reporting requirements .
Collaborate with stakeholders to advance HIT initiatives that improve
clinical quality, patient outcomes, and operational efficiency .
Provide direct support to health centers in the
U.S. Affiliated Pacific Islands (USAPI) , ensuring successful EHR adoption and utilization.
The Ideal Candidate
A collaborative consultant
— skilled at working with diverse teams, guiding them to HIT success.
A strategic project manager
— able to manage multiple priorities and deliver measurable results.
An EHR expert
— experienced in eClinicalWorks, AthenaOne, or NextGen administration, configuration, and best practices within a primary care setting.
A workflow optimization specialist
— adept at identifying HIT challenges and implementing practical, data-driven solutions.
A dynamic trainer & facilitator
— capable of simplifying complex HIT concepts for diverse audiences.
Experienced with Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs)
— knowledgeable about the unique needs, challenges, and compliance requirements of community health centers.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree
is preferred.
Prior experience working in or with Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) is required.
Extensive experience with
eClinicalWorks
in a primary care setting is required; experience with other EHRs, such as
AthenaOne
or
NextGen , is strongly preferred.
Proven
project management
experience is required.
Strong meeting
facilitation, communication,
and
training
skills are required.
Experience with
EHR implementations
and population health tools is required.
