Payton is known for its innovation, responsiveness, and customer-centric approach. The company operates globally with worldwide offices, providing tailored solutions and engineering support for complex applications. Payton has more than 38 years experience and is IATF9100-certified, ensuring the highest standards in quality, environmental care, and industry compliance.
This is full-time remote position; it’s a key position focused on accelerating Payton’s global growth by expanding strategic accounts and penetrating new customers.
You’ll be responsible for developing business in complex, high-value environments where custom magnetic components play a critical role. The role includes driving new business opportunities, leading technical-commercial discussions, managing key relationships, and working closely with our engineering and product teams to deliver tailored solutions. We’re looking for someone who is independent and brings not only sales expertise in sectors like aerospace, defence, EV, and industrial power systems but also credible and a strong network in those industries.
We expect you to be able to work in an autonomous environment and to shape the sales strategy and the support of a world-class technical team.
Responsibilities
Identify and develop new business opportunities – Target key accounts and emerging sectors (e.g., aerospace, defence, EV, industrial) where custom magnetics are essential.
Lead technical‑commercial engagements – Act as the main point of contact for customers, managing the full sales cycle from initial contact to technical solution delivery and closure.
Build and maintain strategic relationships – Develop long‑term partnerships with OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, and integrators through regular contact, trust, and solution‑oriented service.
Collaborate with engineering and product teams – Translate customer requirements into feasible product concepts, working closely with design and manufacturing teams.
Drive regional sales strategy – Shape and execute a go‑to‑market plan in your assigned territory, adjusting tactics based on market dynamics and customer feedback.
Monitor market trends and customer needs – Stay informed on industry shifts and evolving technical requirements, using insights to position Payton ahead of competitors.
Report and forecast sales activity – Maintain accurate records in CRM, deliver pipeline forecasts, and contribute to strategic planning with the global sales team.
Requirements
6–10+ years of experience in technical sales, business development, or account management in power electronics, magnetics, or high‑reliability components.
Deep familiarity with customer needs in industries such as aerospace, EV, medical, or defence sectors.
Proven ability to manage complex sales cycles and influence technical buying decisions.
Strong communication and contract negotiation skills.
Self‑starter mindset with the ability to manage independently in a fast‑paced, technical sales environment.
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, physics, or business (or equivalent experience).
Existing professional network and industry presence is a strong advantage.
Willingness to travel; position is remote.
