Über
Perform complete end-to-end PCB design using
Altium Designer
for automotive and industrial electronic modules.
Design
rigid, flex, and rigid-flex PCBs , including complex multi-layer boards.
Handle
high-speed & Hi Power layouts .
Decide and define
layer stack-up
(impedance control, power distribution, signal integrity).
Conduct
DRC checks, error debugging, and design validation
before release.
Library Management
Create and maintain
IPC-compliant
schematic symbols and PCB footprints.
Build and manage standardized libraries in
Altium .
Apply IPC standards such as
IPC-7351, 7251, 2221, 4101, 6012, 4552, 4202, 4554
for footprint and library creation.
Maintain clean naming conventions and version control.
Reverse Engineering
Perform PCB reverse engineering using Gerber Files.
Recreate
legacy schematics, layouts, and BOMs
with high accuracy.
Design Guidelines & Compliance
Apply
DFM, DFA, and DFT
best practices to ensure manufacturability and testability.
Implement
EMI, and EMC
design techniques to minimize noise, reflection, and crosstalk.
Ensure proper
copper balancing, plane referencing, decoupling strategy , and industry-grade routing practices.
Manufacturing Support
Generate and verify
Gerber ,
ODB++ , and manufacturing documentation.
Release fabrication and assembly files as per approved processes.
Interact with PCB fabricators and assembly vendors to resolve technical queries (EQs).
Support PCB engineering and production teams with design insights and troubleshooting.
Collaboration & Cross-Functional Support
Work closely with the
mechanical design team
to finalize placements and mechanical constraints.
Coordinate with electrical/firmware teams during design changes and debugging.
Optimize BOM and contribute to design improvements.
Required Skills & Experience
Strong proficiency in
Altium Designer
(must).
Experience in
Cadence Allegro/OrCAD
library part creation is an added advantage.
Hands-on experience with
complex, multi-layer, Hi speed & Hi Power Board designs .
Good understanding of
memory routing, high-speed interfaces, RF layout, power electronics , and mixed-signal design practices.
Knowledge of
micro-vias, blind/buried vias, via-in-pad , and advanced PCB technologies.
Strong analytical skills for handling design-related issues.
Experience in
automotive electronics
is a plus.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
