The Pre-Sales module team owns the agent-facing quote and illustration tools that power Bestow's life insurance offerings. We work across the full stack to deliver the end-to-end pre-sales journey from quote generation through illustration management, partnering closely with product and design to ship features that drive agent adoption and conversion. The team operates in a fast-moving, high-stakes domain where quality and velocity both matter. Within Bestow Engineering, our major functional teams are product engineering, infrastructure, IT, data and analytics, martech, and program management. Frontend Platform works closely with upstream engineering teams, experience design, and product management to define and prioritize the product roadmap. We are looking for a Senior Engineering Manager to join our team. This role will report to our Director of Engineering and is open to Remote (US). #LI-REMOTE What You'll Do Work directly with other engineering teams, product, design, TPM, and external stakeholders to introduce new customer-facing platform features and support/evolve existing products. Work with a distributed team of engineersmentoring and driving engineering best practices. Assist in setting the roadmap for team deliverables in a dynamic environment. Drive delivery of high-quality product initiatives and engineering improvements. Work with the team to identify, scope, and schedule improvements to the frontend platform. Communicate effectively, excelling at explaining complex systems and requirements to non-technical cross-functional partners. Be very technical and willing to participate in system design, code reviews, incident investigations, and directly contribute code towards team initiatives. Be data-driven in their engineering management practices, fostering continuous improvement. Who You Are 8+ years experience developing software, with at least 3 years of engineering management experience, including managing teams of 8+ engineers. Proficient across the full stack frontend (React, Remix/Next.js), backend services (Node, GoLang, and/or Python), APIs, and relational databases. Deep understanding of the entire software development lifecycle, including feature inception, GenAI developer tooling, continuous delivery, and release strategies. Ability to define and track key metrics, drive accountability across teams, and consistently meet established Service Level Agreements (SLAs). Ability to understand complex, cross-team technical problems, identify systemic areas of risk, and drive resolution at an organizational level. Ability to 'go deep' technically when necessary. You should be able to contribute changes to the team's codebases and credibly engage in architectural decisions at any time. Highly organized and detail-oriented, with demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities across multiple teams or work-streams. Proven track record of building, scaling, and retaining high-performing teams, including developing and promoting senior engineers and early-career managers. Strategic Orchestration of AI-Augmented Engineering: Drives org-wide adoption of AI development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor) across frontend and backend domains to accelerate delivery of modular, full-stack features. Establishes and champions cross-stack standards for AI-generated code from API design to UI components ensuring automated testing and documentation workflows reduce technical debt at scale. Coaches both engineers and managers on leveraging GenAI to bridge domain gaps, enabling more fluid collaboration across teams while maintaining high architectural integrity. Total Rewards
