In this role, you will provide evaluation, diagnosis, and evidence-based treatment for adults and children with speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders in an acute rehabilitation and outpatient setting. Working within a collaborative, multidisciplinary team that includes physical and occupational therapists, physicians, nurses, and social workers, you will develop and implement individualized treatment plans that support patients in achieving their highest possible level of function and quality of life. As a Speech Pathologist at Altru, you will conduct comprehensive assessments, interpret diagnostic findings, and clearly communicate results and recommendations to patients, families, and the care team. You will contribute to a culture of compassionate care and innovation by incorporating current best practices and evidence-based protocols into your treatment approaches, staying current with professional literature, and participating in ongoing professional development and quality improvement initiatives. Altru Health System fosters a collaborative environment that values teamwork, respect, and open communication, and you will play an active role in mentoring students, collaborating with colleagues on program development, and supporting performance improvement projects that enhance patient outcomes and service delivery. This position offers an opportunity to work with a diverse caseload across diagnoses such as stroke, traumatic brain injury, neurodegenerative conditions, complex medical and surgical cases, and developmental speech and language disorders. Employees at Altru can expect engaging, patient-centered work with meaningful relationships with patients and families, and opportunities for professional growth in clinical specialties such as neuro-rehabilitation, dysphagia management, and cognitive-communication rehabilitation. If you are a dedicated Speech Pathologist who is motivated by collaborative practice, continuous learning, and a commitment to community health and wellness, we invite you to join the team at Altru Rehabilitation Hospital and help us advance our mission of exceptional, compassionate care.
