divh2Full-time Medical Assistant Float/h2pAnne Arundel Dermatology is hiring a full-time Medical Assistant Float to support our North Atlanta Dermatology clinics across multiple locations. This opportunity is intended for an experienced Dermatology Medical Assistant who is flexible, adaptable, and comfortable working with different providers and teams based on clinic needs./ppThe Medical Assistant Float will assist Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers with patient care and in-office dermatology procedures while traveling between our Duluth, Suwanee, Buford, Cumming, and Marietta offices as needed. This role requires flexibility to travel to all five locations and the ability to step into different clinic environments seamlessly. Please note: prior hands-on dermatology Medical Assistant experience is required for this role. We believe in providing our new associates with intensive hands-on training and long-term career growth opportunities from within./ph2Responsibilities/h2ulliRoom patients and complete accurate clinical intake and documentation/liliObtain and record vital signs and relevant patient information/liliSupport efficient patient flow throughout the clinic/liliPrepare procedure rooms, trays, instruments, and equipment according to provider specifications/liliAssist physicians and advanced practice providers during medical and surgical dermatology procedures/liliDraw up medications and assist with the administration of local anesthetics/liliPrepare, label, and route pathology and laboratory specimens to the appropriate lab based on patient insurance requirements/liliRespond to patient questions in person and by phone in accordance with provider guidance/liliReview and address clinical task lists, nurse line messages, phone messages, faxes, and interdepartmental communications in a timely manner/liliAccurately document patient encounters and scribe provider notes in the EMR/liliClean, sterilize, calibrate, and maintain medical instruments and equipment according to established schedules, maintaining required documentation/liliManage medication and clinical supplies, including ordering, stocking, inventory tracking, and removal of expired items/liliMaintain infection control standards and ensure exam rooms, supply rooms, and cabinets are fully stocked and organized/liliMaintain strict HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality at all times/liliPerform additional duties as assigned to support clinic operations/li/ulh2Qualifications/h2ulliAbility to triage patient concerns and communicate findings appropriately to providers/liliWorking knowledge of OSHA, HIPAA, infection control, and Bloodborne Pathogen standards/liliExperience obtaining and recording vital signs and preparing patients for clinical visits/liliExperience administering injections and assisting with in-office procedures/liliUnderstanding of medical terminology, CPT, and ICD-10 codes/liliFamiliarity with office financial policies and insurance-related processes/liliBasic computer proficiency with experience using EMR systems/liliAbility to operate standard office equipment including computers, scanners, copiers, and fax machines/liliStrong verbal and written communication skills; fluency in English required/liliAbility to function effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume clinical environment/liliDemonstrated ability to work professionally and collaboratively with providers, staff, patients, and visitors/liliAbility to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and work both independently and as part of a team/liliAbility to follow oral and written instructions with attention to detail/liliReliable transportation and ability to travel to satellite offices as needed/li/ulh2Licensure/Certifications/Education/h2h3Education and Experience/h3ulliHigh school diploma or GED required/liliCompletion of a Medical Assistant program preferred (CMA)/liliCompletion of a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program or a bachelors degree in a pre-med or pre-PA track preferred/liliCPR certification preferred/liliOne to two years of recent experience as a Medical Assistant (Required)/liliPrior dermatology experience (Required)/li/ulh3Physical Requirements/h3ulliAbility to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday/liliFrequent bending, twisting, reaching, balancing, and use of hands and fingers/liliAbility to communicate effectively in person and by phone/liliAbility to handle clinical materials, instruments, and supplies/liliAbility to lift and carry up to 30 pounds/liliExposure to infectious organisms and potential hazards including chemicals and sharp instruments in a clinical environment/li/ulpBenefits available to employees working 30+ hours per week/pulliMedical, dental, and vision insurance effective the first of the month following date of hire/liliShort-term and long-term disability coverage/liliVoluntary life insurance for employee, spouse, and child/liliCritical illness and hospital indemnity coverage/liliCompany-provided basic life and ADD insurance/liliPaid time off and paid holidays/liliRetirement savings plan/liliEmployee discounts on cosmetic services and products/li/ul/div
