We are seeking a Senior Software Architect to drive architectural strategy and execution across multiple enterprise platforms.
This is a high-impact role where you'll influence technical direction, guide engineering teams, and ensure solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with business priorities. You'll operate at the intersection of architecture, delivery, and governance helping teams move faster while maintaining long-term platform health.
Required Qualifications
10+ years of experience in software engineering, including 5+ years in architecture or senior technical leadership roles
Strong experience designing
distributed, service-oriented, or event-driven systems
Hands-on experience with
cloud platforms (preferably Microsoft Azure)
Experience working within
formal architecture governance or review processes
Strong understanding of
secure application design in regulated environments
Proven ability to influence stakeholders and drive technical decisions across teams
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in the
insurance or financial services
industry
Background in
.NET / .NET Core
environments
Familiarity with Azure services such as App Services, Functions, Service Bus, Event Grid, or similar
Experience with
CI/CD, DevOps practices, and infrastructure-as-code
Prior involvement in
architecture review boards or design governance processes
Position Description
Architecture Leadership
Define and drive architectural direction across multiple applications and agile teams
Partner with engineering, product, and delivery leaders to align architecture with business goals
Guide teams through complex technical decisions, trade-offs, and dependencies
Ensure solutions are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with enterprise standards
Governance & Standards
Participate in and help lead architecture governance processes (e.g., design reviews, architecture boards)
Establish and promote architectural standards, patterns, and best practices
Document and communicate architectural decisions to ensure transparency and alignment
Secure & Compliant Design
Design systems with a strong focus on security, data protection, and compliance
Collaborate with security and risk teams to meet regulatory and audit requirements
Ensure solutions are built with
"security-by-design
principles
Solution Design & Delivery Support
Translate business and regulatory requirements into well-architected technical solutions
Provide hands-on guidance to engineering teams during design and implementation
Support modernization initiatives while navigating legacy and hybrid environments
Cloud & Integration Architecture
Design and implement cloud-based solutions (primarily Microsoft Azure)
Define patterns for APIs, integrations, event-driven systems, and messaging
Ensure systems meet non-functional requirements such as performance, scalability, and resiliency
Mentorship & Continuous Improvement
Mentor senior engineers and technical leads
Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend solutions aligned with business value
Contribute to the evolution of architecture practices and delivery processes
