Client is seeking an experienced Real-Time Embedded Software Engineer with strong C/C++ development skills and hands-on Hardware-in-the-Loop experience. This role supports real-time embedded systems, simulation environments, and software development within a secure defense engineering setting.
Core Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, and support real-time embedded software using C/C++.
Work with Linux systems and real-time operating environments.
Support Hardware-in-the-Loop testing and validation for embedded systems.
Work with simulation systems tied to real-time embedded software platforms.
Participate across the full software development life cycle.
Collaborate with cross-discipline and cross-functional engineering teams.
Use tools such as Git, GitLab, JIRA, and Agile/Scrum practices where applicable.
Essential Qualifications, Skills, and Technologies
8+ years of experience in real-time embedded software engineering.
Active Secret clearance.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
Strong proficiency in C/C++.
C++11 or higher experience.
Strong Linux systems experience.
Experience working in real-time operating environments.
Hands-on HWIL experience with real-time embedded systems.
Experience with simulation systems.
Preferred Skills or Experience
Ada experience.
Full software development life cycle experience.
Experience working with cross-discipline or cross-functional teams.
Git, GitLab, and JIRA experience.
Agile/Scrum experience.
