Job Title: Hardware Development Engineer Level 3
Duties: ***BELOW IS GUIDANCE ONLY, PLEASE ADD YOUR JOB DESCRIPTION HERE*** Evaluates reliability of materials, properties and techniques used in production; plans, designs and develops electronic parts, components, integrated circuitry, mechanical systems, equipment and packaging, and/or optical systems. Frequently interacts with peers and customers to gain cooperation of others or conduct presentations of technical information/project activities. Networks with senior internal/external personnel in own area of expertise. Works on issues of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Receives assignments in the form of objectives and determines the process by which to meet goals. Normally receives little instruction on day-to-day work, generally instructions on new assignments. Legal authorization to work in the US is required. Rockwell will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.
Capability to act independently to determine methods and procedures on new or special assignments.
Comprehensive experience in designing, implementing, and troubleshooting network implementations.
Experience designing, configuring, and troubleshooting testbeds and test cases.
Expert-level technical background in High-complexity Networking solutions and implementation strategies and understanding of IT and OT convergence.
Background in Test, specifically in testing of ethernet networks and testbed design for ethernet networks.
Experience with network technologies including (STP, VLANs, DTP, VTP, IGMP, RIP, OSPF, EIGRP, HSRP, VRRP, Flex links, ACLs, DLR, PRP, HSR, MRP…) Experience with Rockwell Automation/Allen-Bradley control products.
Familiarity with Cisco/Stratix Switches.
