Job Description:
Seeking an AWS Glue Developer L3 with hands-on experience in building and managing data pipelines using AWS Glue jobs, AWS Lambda, Python, and Spark. This role involves working with Oracle databases and stored procedures, and requires strong ownership to work independently in a lead capacity.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, deploy, and optimize AWS Glue ETL jobs for data ingestion, transformation, and loading. Build and maintain AWS Lambda functions to support data pipeline automation. Design and implement data processing solutions using Python and Apache Spark. Work with Oracle databases, including writing and optimizing stored procedures. Troubleshoot pipeline failures, performance bottlenecks, and ensure data quality. Collaborate with data engineering and analytics teams to meet business requirements. Lead technical tasks independently and mentor junior developers as needed.
Required Skills:
AWS Glue: Strong experience creating and managing Glue jobs for ETL workflows. AWS Lambda: Hands-on with serverless functions for pipeline triggers and automation. Python: Proficient in scripting for data processing and Glue PySpark jobs. Apache Spark: Experience with Spark for large-scale data transformations. Oracle Database: Experience with Oracle DB and writing stored procedures.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior lead or senior developer experience with ability to work independently. Experience with other AWS data services like S3, Redshift, Athena, Step Functions. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code for AWS. Knowledge of data modelling and data warehousing concepts.
