Role Overview:
The Adobe Analytics Launch Developer / Data Mapping Specialist is responsible for designing| implementing| and managing Adobe Launch tag configurations| scripting| and data layer mappings to ensure accurate and comprehensive data collection. This role requires expertise in mapping backend parameters| creating custom dimensions| and integrating Adobe Analytics with other systems via APIs to support robust digital analytics and reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
Design| develop| and maintain Adobe Launch configurations including rules| data elements| and extensions to capture relevant user interactions across web and mobile platforms.
Create and manage JavaScript code snippets and custom scripts within Adobe Launch to enable precise data collection and event tracking.
Map backend parameters and data layer fields to Adobe Analytics variables (eVars| props| events) ensuring alignment with business requirements.
Develop and maintain custom dimensions and metrics in Adobe Analytics based on mapped data fields.
Collaborate with backend developers and data engineers to understand API endpoints and integrate Adobe Analytics data flows with external systems.
Utilize APIs for data extraction| automation| and integration tasks related to Adobe Analytics and Adobe Launch.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to tag deployment| data accuracy| and script performance.
Document tagging architecture| data mappings| and API integrations for transparency and knowledge sharing.
Work closely with analytics| marketing| and IT teams to ensure tagging strategy supports business goals and compliance requirements.
Qualifications:
Strong experience with Adobe Launch (Adobe Experience Platform Launch) including rule creation| data elements| and extension management.
Proficiency in JavaScript for custom scripting within tag management systems.
Expertise in mapping backend parameters to Adobe Analytics variables and creating custom dimensions metrics.
Knowledge of RESTful APIs for integration between Adobe Analytics and other platforms.
Familiarity with web technologies (HTML| CSS) and browser debugging tools.
Experience working with data layers and understanding of digital analytics data architecture.
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including developers| analysts| and marketers.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail in ensuring data quality.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science| Information Systems| Digital Marketing Analytics| or related field preferred.
