We are looking for an individual who would be responsible for the following:
"
Collecting and analyzing power test results on Mac platforms
"
Identifying and isolating issues using debugging and data analysis skills
"
Writing test reports and communicating identified issues
"
Designing tests and test plans to assess power impact of new HW/SW features
"
Setting up and maintaining Mac systems on testing racks.
"
Maintain lab test equipment and infrastructure as requested by the team
"
Prioritizing tasks and communicating status regularly to the team
"
On-going documentation of test processes for future reference
Must-Have Skills
"
BS EE/CS or 3+ years QA test experience
"
Knowledge of Mac hardware and/or macOS
"
Strong attention to detail and ability to deep dive technically
"
Excellent debugging/troubleshooting skills
"
Strong written and verbal communications skills and ability to concisely present complex data
"
Familiarity in Python or shell scripting to support basic automation scripting
"
Basic competency in object-oriented programming (Swift, Python preferred)
Preferred Skills
"
Experience in testing HW
"
Understanding of computer architecture, EE fundamentals, and concepts of power consumption and power management
"
Ability to quickly learn new technologies
"
Adjust to a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
