Technical skills: · DB2 LUW Database server installation, configuration and upgrade on Linux servers. · Database disaster recovery setup (HADR). · Database server encryption using DB2 native encryption and IBM Guardium. · Manage database authentication and authorization. · Database monitoring and performance optimization; db2expln, db2advis, db2top, db2diag, db2pd etc. · Database backup and log management; database restoration from incremental/full backup image. · Database storage space (tablespaces) and memory (bufferpools) management; database capacity planning. · Design and implement database changes according to business requirement; roll-out changes to various database environments with releases. · Data movement across various database environments. · Triggers/Stored procedure/Functions/indexes creation based on application requirement. · Logical data modelling and ERD generation using Erwin. · Data loading and error resolution using load and import utilities. · Data Profiling and cleansing using SQL statements. · Perform database maintenance activities such as runstats, reorg, snapshots, prun logs etc. · Knowledge of bash/shell scripting and cron scheduling. · Basic knowledge of ETL and associated processes.
