Quantity Surveyor (MEP / EPC Contracts) Location: Dublin Employment Type: Permanent or Contract Sector Experience: Construction / Engineering / Data Centre / Industrial / Energy Salary/Rate: Competitive (DOE) About the Role We are seeking an experiencedQuantity Surveyor with a strongMEP background and robust contractual/commercial expertise to join a team delivering works under anEPC contract structure. This role is suited to a commercially astute QS who understands the complexities of engineering-heavy packages, risk allocation, change management, and contract administration within large-scale capital projects. Bothpermanent hires and contract professionals will be considered. Key Responsibilities Administration and interpretation ofEPC contracts, including management of contractor obligations, risk positions, and commercial exposures. Cost reporting, forecasting, and budget control across project lifecycle. Management and assessment of: Variations / change orders Compensation events Claims and extensions of time support (commercial interface with planning team) Payment application assessment, valuation, and certification. Preparation, negotiation, and agreement of final and interim accounts. Contract correspondence, notices, and commercial documentation management. Support project leadership on commercial strategy, dispute avoidance, and entitlement preservation. Liaison with project managers, engineering teams, planners, and legal/commercial stakeholders. Required Experience Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, Construction Economics, or similar. Minimum5+ years experience in Quantity Surveying roles (adjust as required). Strong track record deliveringMEP-heavy projects such as: Data centres Pharmaceutical Industrial/process plants Energy/utilities Large commercial or mission-critical builds Demonstrable experience working underEPC or EPCM contract environments. Proven capability in claims, variations, contract notices, and commercial risk management. High level of commercial acumen and negotiation skills. Strong reporting and stakeholder management ability. Desirable Experience with international projects or multi-jurisdiction contracts. Exposure to commissioning/completion phases on MEP projects. Claims/dispute support experience. Professional accreditation desirable (e.g.MRICS,SCSI, or equivalent). Candidate Profile Contractually strong and detail-oriented. Commercially pragmatic with strong risk awareness. Comfortable operating in fast-paced engineering/project environments. Able to challenge, negotiate, and protect commercial position while maintaining delivery focus.
