Our platform helps parents protect their children online through AI-powered coaching, guided device lockdown, and relationship-first design. The product is being iterated and shipping features.
We need a Technical Lead to take over the entire technical delivery of the platform so the founder can focus on growth. You will be the engineering team.
*The Stack*
Flutter · Kotlin · Swift · Next.js/React (web + admin) · Supabase (Postgres, Edge Functions, RLS, Realtime) · Claude & OpenAI APIs · Firebase · Stripe · Cloudflare
*What You Own*
* Full development lifecycle: features, testing, deployment, production monitoring
* Flutter mobile apps (iOS + Android) and App Store / Google Play submissions
* Supabase backend: schema, Row Level Security, Edge Functions, cron jobs
* AI integration: Claude API for safety conversations, prompt engineering, OpenAI TTS
* Security: this product protects children. Data isolation, ceiling protection, and a multi-layer safeguarding pipeline are non-negotiable
* Production incidents: when something breaks, you fix it
*What You Are Not Doing*
You are not starting from zero. The product is live with a number of unique features. Your job is to take over and keep shipping — not to rewrite.
*Must-Haves*
* 5+ years software engineering, 2+ as sole developer or lead
* Flutter/Dart: shipped at least one app to production (iOS + Android)
* PostgreSQL: RLS, triggers, functions — not just queries
* TypeScript / Next.js for web and Edge Functions
* Mobile deployment: Xcode, Android Studio, App Store Connect, Google Play Console
* Security mindset: experience with products where data protection matters
* AI coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot) as part of your daily workflow
* Startup experience or solo shipping experience
*Strongly Preferred*
* Native Kotlin (Android monitoring APIs) or native Swift (iOS Screen Time / FamilyControls)
* AI/ML prompt engineering and model integration
* CI/CD pipeline management

Pay: £40,000.00-£110,000.00 per year
