The Medical Assistant provides clinic guests with above-and beyond service to ensure an exceptional patient experience. As a Medical Assistant, you ensure that guests are delighted and happy from the moment they step into the clinic and continue to extend the service experience beyond the clinic walls to ensure superior service delivery./ppThe Medical Assistant plays a crucial role in creating a unique and exceptional patient and member experience within our clinic. This position is responsible for providing guests with above-and-beyond service, ensuring they are delighted from the moment they step into the clinic and continuing to extend the service experience beyond the clinic walls. As the Medical Assistant, you assist members with checking in, demonstrating an in-depth knowledge of self-insured employer health insurance, including copays, co-insurance, and related benefits. You are at the forefront of facilitating the patient and member experience throughout our health center, ensuring superior service delivery and a welcoming environment./ppClinical Responsibilities/pulliTake medical histories, measure patient vitals, and other pertinent information to assist the clinician with care of the patient./liliHandle inventory, orders, and replenish medical supplies and materials./liliProvides phlebotomy services and immunization services/liliPerforms other duties as assigned/li/ulpMember Service Responsibilities/pulliWelcomes each member and handles all member interactions with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism./liliDemonstrates a commitment to quality, delivering uncompromised service and outcomes./liliAccommodates special requests for member support whenever possible and helps to promptly resolve member questions./liliAssists with assigned projects and special provider or patient requests./liliAssists with the member check-in process, including a basic understanding of benefit eligibility files, check-in technology and overall clinic workflows within the context of care delivery./liliProcesses transactions required to begin or complete the visit./liliDemonstrates an in-depth knowledge of employer-sponsored health insurance, including copays, co-insurance, and related benefit specific requirements, in order to support members./liliEngages with members by answering calls, scheduling appointments, responding to emails, and following up with member needs./liliCollaborates with providers and staff members to deliver an exceptional seamless patient-centered care experience./liliPerforms other duties as assigned/li/ulpRequired Qualifications/pulliGraduate of an accredited medical assistant or surgical technician program./liliMinimum of 2 years comparable clinical back office medical assistant experience./liliBLS (Basic Life Support) certification required./li/ulpPreferred Qualifications/pulliExcellent computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft products./liliReading, writing, and excellent oral proficiency in the English language./liliStrong organizational and follow-through skills./liliExcellent communication and interpersonal skills./liliHigh level of ownership, accountability and initiative./liliProven organizational skills, great interpersonal skills, and ability to work as a key team member./liliComfort and efficiency with multi-tasking, issue resolution, and conflict management./li/ulpPhysical Job Requirements/pulliMay require standing, walking and sitting for extended amounts of time./liliOccasionally lift and carry items weighing up to 50 lbs./liliManual and finger dexterity and hand-eye coordination/liliIncludes full range of body motion including potential of handling and lifting patients./liliRequires corrected vision, hearing and speech within normal ranges. Must be able to effectively communicate with patients and team members./li/ulpThe base pay range for this position is $25.89 to $34 per hour. Pay range may vary depending on work location, applicable knowledge, skills, and experience.
