Location Remote: This role is a home-based office position in the continental United States. Candidates must be able to travel up to 30% regionally (local visits, occasional out‑of‑state client visits, and 3–4 conferences or training events each year).

As a Technical Adoption Manager (TAM), you will serve as a trusted advisor, driving a cross‑functional, unified customer experience using your technical, communication, and collaboration skills to help our customers achieve their full potential through the adoption of VMware’s technology.
In the TAM role, no day is the same, and you will never be bored! You will interact daily with your assigned customers and will be able to make a real impact on their success as a business. TAMs find nothing more satisfying than being challenged and being able to turn challenges into positive outcomes. You will also be able to manage your schedule and priorities to support work/life balance.
Success in the Role
Within one month: articulate customer key business objectives and desired outcomes and begin crafting a joint Success Plan with the customer
Through the customer engagement, you will serve as a trusted advisor, ensuring best‑in‑class execution and recommending improvements that add value and proactively drive consumption, health, and retention
Articulate short‑term and long‑term goals and their connection to the business picture, identifying gaps and working on a structured engagement plan
Complete relevant technology assessments, roadmap reviews, deployment guidance, best‑practice reviews, and day‑2 operations guidance
Identify customer use cases and opportunities for prescribing Adoption Guidance and Workshops to further adoption and consumption
Present achievements and customer progress regularly through Quarterly Business Reviews
Communicate key topics of VMware’s solutions at all customer levels to drive realized value and long‑term strategy
Continue to grow and enhance technical knowledge (VMW/Industry offerings) and soft skills through VMware’s structured quarterly training programs
The Work
Leverage experience in customer‑facing positions such as TAM, Solution Engineer, technology consultant, IT vendor, or professional services
Draw on experience with enterprise‑level virtualization and map VMware solutions to the customer’s unique business and technical requirements
Use expertise with VMware’s Multi‑cloud products (Infrastructure SDDC, Cloud Environment, Network Virtualization, Automation/Monitoring)
Utilize a TAM playbook, delivery kits, and tools to guide the customer through activities such as creating a Success Plan, delivering technology roadmaps & assessments, providing Solution Guidance & best‑practice reviews, optimizing operations, and offering industry insights
Present and communicate effectively with C‑level personnel and build relationships
Collaborate with multi‑functional VMware project teams including consultants, engineers, product managers, and support staff
Track and adjust customer plans, driving them to completion
Help create customers for life by collaborating with Customer Success, Global Support, Education, Professional Services, Development, and Sales teams to deliver outcome‑focused value
Contribute to the internal global TAM community, sharing experiences and learning from peers

Experience and Education • Bachelor’s degree preferred (relevant experience in lieu of a degree may be considered). • 12+ years related experience.
Compensation and Benefits The On Target Earnings (OTE) range for this position is $151,900 – $243,000. OTE includes Sales Incentive Commission under the applicable plan. The role may also be eligible for equity under Broadcom’s equity plan agreements.
