What We Do
We are looking for a Sales Manager with demonstrated success driving revenue growth directly and through others. This Sales Manager will also have a strong analytical background, and a customer‑centric attitude. In this role you will be directly responsible for managing a team of Sales Representatives, training, coaching, sales forecasting, tracking sales team performance metrics, and reporting data on a regular basis. Sales Managers do not typically have direct selling responsibility; however, in some smaller areas the Sales Manager may have responsibility for key clients. Primary responsibilities must be managing a Sales Team. How You’ll Contribute
Lead a team of Sales Representatives within the financial services space: managing performance, coaching, mentoring, hiring and career development. Develop and execute the sales strategy by leveraging best practice frameworks, methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. Clearly communicate the sales strategy, goals, sales targets and expectations. Collaborate with internal marketing teams to develop local, regional, and/or divisional marketing content to drive brand awareness and support sales strategy. Utilize a variety of accountability tools to assess and evaluate and take corrective action when needed towards the success of the sales strategy and the execution of predetermined expectations of the sales team. Actively recruit, retain and develop talent and hold employees accountable for results. Lead change, manage conflict and foster collaboration. Facilitate work and problem resolution between work groups and may lead cross‑functional/inter‑departmental projects and/or process improvement efforts. Develop and modify policies and processes that impact the team. What You’ll Bring
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. 5–7 years of directly related experience in the financial services industry. 3–5 years of demonstrated experience in a supervisory or management role. Comfortable with virtual presentations, embraces technology and embraces change. Demonstrated success in delivering results through others. Proven track record in creating sales forecasts, identifying new areas of growth, and accurately analyzing sales performance data. High level of business acumen, strategic agility, ability to develop others, and influence change. Drive and model client loyalty, manage expectations, solicit feedback, and ensure commitments are met. Demonstrated success establishing, leading, and maintaining effective working relationships. May require a valid driver’s license. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
Successful track record designing, developing, and executing complex projects in the area of functional expertise. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships at the management level across functional groups and business units. Adeptness to influence the thinking of, or gain acceptance from others in sensitive situations, using influence and preventing damage to the relationships. Strong capacity to communicate the function’s vision and the department’s direction and set aligned goals. Provides resources and creates systems to measure results. Familiar with competitor, financial and industry dynamics. Drives and models customer loyalty, manages customer expectations, solicits feedback and ensures commitments are met. Provides others with reliable information and delivers informative and persuasive presentations. Uses good listening skills and negotiates effectively. Collaboratively engages with leaders to create, identify, and implement solutions to further effectiveness of the business. High level of business acumen, strategic agility, ability to develop others, and influence change. What We Offer
First American is an equal opportunity employer in every sense of the term. Based on eligibility, First American offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), PTO/paid sick leave, and other great benefits such as an employee stock purchase plan.
