We support our clients with workforce solutions for offshore and onshore projects worldwide. This position is being offered on behalf of one of our trusted clients.
The Role supporting simultaneous cable lay and trenching operations. Successful candidates will either:
Attend formal training at accredited subsea trenching schools in Europe or the UK,
or
Undergo structured on-the-job training under the supervision of seasoned offshore Plow operators within company's fleet.
After qualification, candidates will work on a
6-month offshore / 6-month home standby rotation .
Key Responsibilities
Complete approved training pathway (formal course or mentored on-the-job training) to become certified in plow operation and maintenance.
Operate subsea plows during simultaneous lay and trench campaigns.
Assist with deployment, recovery, and in-operation control of plow systems.
Monitor trenching parameters (depth, pressure, performance) and adjust settings as required.
Conduct equipment checks, preventative maintenance, and basic fault troubleshooting.
Ensure all safety, technical, and procedural documentation is completed accurately.
Engage fully with the plow team and wider offshore crew during operations.
What We’re Looking For
Experience working with
heavy machinery , mechanical or hydraulic systems (e.g. construction, agriculture, marine, or industrial sectors).
Technically inclined with strong practical problem-solving skills.
Willingness and physical ability to work offshore for extended periods.
Strong communication skills and commitment to team safety culture.
Fluent in English (spoken and written).
Valid passport and offshore medical certification (or willingness to obtain).
Bonus If You Have
Previous exposure to offshore operations or cable installation projects.
Technical certifications in mechanical, mechatronics, marine, or subsea systems.
Familiarity with subsea equipment, trenching, or remotely operated vehicle (ROV) operations.
What You’ll Get
Rotational Basis:
Approx. 6 months offshore / 6 months home standby per year.
Compensation:
Base Salary:
Paid year-round, including standby periods.
Offshore Daily Rate:
Enhanced pay when assigned to vessel operations.
Company covers all travel, accommodation, and offshore-related costs while on rotation.
