B&N Water/Wastewater Treatment Process Engineer Responsibilities
Lead project delivery: Oversee the design and execution of complex water and wastewater treatment projects across the U.S.
Collaborate for innovation: Work with multidisciplinary teams to develop forward-thinking, sustainable solutions, tackling challenges such as PFAS mitigation and emerging contaminants.
Technical leadership: Serve as a technical authority and mentor, guiding staff development and partnering with practice leaders.
Client engagement: Build strong client relationships; contribute to business development through proposals, high-impact interviews, and strategic growth initiatives.
Quality oversight: Manage the preparation and review of engineering reports, calculations, drawings, and technical specifications.
Professional representation: Represent B&N at industry conferences, events, and technical forums to share expertise and expand the company’s influence.
Skills & Qualifications Applicant should be highly driven and motivated to achieve and drive production for process engineering design; should possess strong verbal and written communication skills; be able to organize and schedule design and construction phases of projects.
15+ years of progressive experience in water/wastewater treatment design and project leadership.
Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or similar from an ABET accredited engineering program.
Professional Engineer (PE) registration
Highly driven and motivated to achieve and drive production for process engineering design and thought leadership representing B&N.
Demonstrated expertise in process engineering, facility planning, and regulatory compliance, including emerging contaminants.
Proven leader with experience managing multi-disciplinary teams and delivering successful projects.
Excellent communicator with the ability to build client relationships and collaborate remotely.
100% remote if not currently within a commutable distance from an existing or future B&N office in the U.S. with occasional travel (15–25%) for client meetings, site visits, and team engagement.
