Senior Manager, Product Operations (Remote Eligible) REMOTE, USA
For over 20 years, Smartsheet has helped people and teams achieve—well, anything. From seamless work management to smart, scalable solutions, we’ve always worked with flow. We’re building tools that empower teams to automate the manual, uncover insights, and scale smarter. But more than that, we’re creating space—space to think big, take action, and unlock the kind of work that truly matters.
We're looking for a Senior Manager of Product Operations to lead the team responsible for how our product org plans, executes, and ships. You'll manage a team of Product Operations Managers, set the operational standard for the org, and partner with product and engineering leadership to drive strategic alignment. This is a player‑coach role — you'll get in the weeds when it matters and zoom out to shape how the function evolves.
What You'll Do
Lead, develop, and grow a team of Product Operations Managers across varying levels
Design and own the product operating model: planning cycles, goals frameworks, launch process, and team rhythms
Partner with Directors and VPs to surface operational insights that inform investment and prioritization decisions
Set tooling strategy for product ops — drive adoption of systems (including Smartsheet) that create accountability and visibility
Define role standards, hiring bars, and development paths for the Product Ops function
Embed AI‑augmented workflows into how the team operates; model a builder mindset
Drive cross‑functional alignment between product, engineering, design, GTM, and finance
What You Bring
8+ years in product operations, strategy & ops, or program management — with at least 2–3 years in people management
Deep experience designing operational systems that scale across a product org
Strong executive communication: you can present operational complexity at the VP and CPO level without losing the nuance
Track record of building and developing high‑performing ops teams
Data‑driven and outcome‑oriented — you connect operational decisions to business metrics
Experience influencing without authority across multiple functions and org levels
Nice to Have
Experience building or scaling a Product Ops function from the ground up
Familiarity with AI tooling strategy in an operational context
Background in GTM or launch operations at a SaaS or platform company
Employer subsidized medical/vision and dental coverage for full‑time employees
401k Match to help you save for your future (50% of your contribution up to the first 6% of your eligible pay)
Monthly stipend to support your work and productivity
US employees are automatically covered under Smartsheet‑sponsored life insurance, short‑term, and long‑term disability plans
US employees receive 12 paid holidays per year
Up to 24 weeks of Parental Leave
Personal paid Volunteer Day to support our community
Opportunities for professional growth and development including access to Udemy online courses
Company Funded Perks, including a counseling membership, local retail discounts, and your own personal Smartsheet account
Teleworking options from any registered location in the U.S. (role specific)
US Base Salary Pay Range $170,000 - $230,000 USD
Get to Know Us At Smartsheet, your ideas are heard, your potential is supported, and your contributions have real impact. You’ll have the freedom to explore, push boundaries, and grow beyond your role. We welcome diverse perspectives and nontraditional paths—because we know that impact comes from individuals who care deeply and challenge thoughtfully. When you’re doing work that stretches you, excites you, and connects you to something bigger, that’s magic at work. Let’s build what’s next, together.
