Autism Speaks is seeking a Senior Coordinator for Nationwide Peer‑to‑Peer Programs to support the strategic and operational plan for TeamUp, our signature endurance fundraising program which includes 5Ks to marathons across the country. This role is accountable for achieving fundraising revenue goals, delivering high‑quality participant experience, and ensuring consistent, well‑coordinated event execution.
The Senior Coordinator provides hands‑on fundraising coaching to participants, delivers tools and resources to support their success and growth, tracks and reports on performance, and supports on‑site event execution.
This role is part of a collaborative, growing program and requires flexibility to pitch in across TeamUp and other peer‑to‑peer events as needed. The manager may request that the Senior Coordinator attend events outside their specific day‑to‑day portfolio. The individual works from home and can be located anywhere in the country, but must be comfortable traveling to events.
Key Responsibilities
Support the daily operations and execution of the strategic fundraising plan for the TeamUp program and other P2P initiatives
Coordinate with the Centralized Fundraising Support Team to implement the fundraising incentive program.
Manage the TeamUp vanity email inbox and provide best‑in‑class customer service.
Implement a social media plan to increase program visibility, community engagement, and fundraising performance.
Collaborate with marketing, digital, web, and donor support teams to ensure consistent messaging and operational efficiency.
Identify and solicit in‑kind donations to enhance participant offerings and reduce expenses.
With direction from the Senior Manager, execute program timelines, communication plans, and engagement tools to recruit, train, and motivate participants to increase program revenue.
Monitor performance against revenue and participation goals (including an annual fundraising target of approximately $100,000); share reports to track progress and identify opportunities for growth and risk mitigation.
Proactively identify and troubleshoot issues affecting participant experience or program performance.
Deliver high‑quality customer service by coaching and engaging an assigned portfolio of fundraising participants and volunteers across all stages of the fundraising lifecycle using phone, email, newsletters, virtual meetings, and social media.
Serve as on‑site supporting staff for key TeamUp events (e.g., Chicago Marathon, New York Marathon, Houston 8K, Disney run) and other peer‑to‑peer events as needed, providing in‑person operational and participant support to the designated event lead.
Serve as a power user of fundraising platforms, ensuring effective utilization, data accuracy, and reporting integrity.
Position Requirements
Education:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
Experience:
3+ years of relevant experience with a proven track record in peer‑to‑peer fundraising.
Specialized skills and knowledge:
Strong project management and organizational skills.
Proven ability to deliver high‑quality customer service and participant support.
Strong analytical and critical‑thinking skills.
Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office 365.
Working knowledge of fundraising platforms and systems; experience with GoFundMe Pro or Classy is preferred.
Experience with CRM and fundraising databases; Stratus Live is preferred.
Demonstrated passion for mission‑driven work.
Physical & Work Environment Requirements
Willingness to work evenings and weekends as needed.
Travel primarily related to events (≈30%), occasionally overnight; occasional travel for team meetings.
Event days involve setting up and moving materials and being on‑site for prolonged periods.
Team Up event sites require moving between start, finish, and other locations over distances of up to approximately one mile.
Regular use of computer for extended periods.

Salary & Benefits Competitive compensation, benefit package, flex work hours, weekly training sessions, tuition reimbursement, and summer bonus Fridays. Salary range: $50,000–$60,000 depending on experience and location.
