Job Overview The Technical Sales Specialist for Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) Systems will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between technical support and sales. This position is responsible for assisting customers with equipment selection, providing comprehensive product training, and supporting various internal teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in VRF systems, excellent communication skills, and a passion for customer service.
Key Responsibilities Customer Support
Assist customers with VRF equipment selection based on their specific needs and applications.
Provide technical support to customers, troubleshooting issues and offering solutions in a timely manner.
Conduct on-site visits to assist with installation and system commissioning as needed.
Identify and recommend replacement parts for customers to ensure system longevity and optimal performance.
Product Training
Develop and deliver product training sessions for customers, focusing on the operation, maintenance, and benefits of VRF systems.
Create training materials, including manuals, videos, and presentations.
Stay updated on the latest VRF technology and products to ensure training content is current and relevant.
Sales Support
Work closely with the sales team to understand customer requirements and provide technical expertise during the sales process.
Assist the Sales Director with various reports, including sales performance, customer feedback, and market trends.
Collaborate with the orders team to ensure accurate and timely order entry.
Provide technical insights and support during customer presentations and meetings.
Product Management Support
Assist the product management team with product launches, updates, and enhancements.
Gather and analyze customer feedback to identify potential product improvements.
Participate in product development meetings, providing technical insights and recommendations.
Administrative Duties
Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, training sessions, and support provided.
Prepare and submit regular reports on technical support activities and customer satisfaction.
Ensure all customer inquiries are logged and addressed promptly.
Additional Responsibilities
Stay informed about industry trends, competitor products, and emerging technologies in the VRF market.
Attend industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to represent the company and expand professional knowledge.
Provide feedback to the marketing team to help develop effective promotional strategies and materials.
And here is what you will need to be successful:
Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a technical sales or support role, preferably within the HVAC or VRF industry.
Associates in Applied Sciences, HVAC Certificate, or equivalent preferred.
Strong technical knowledge of VRF systems and components.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
