Job Summary This position is responsible for supervising day-to-day operations of assigned billing group. The successful applicant will manage several direct reports and indirect reports. The successful candidate will oversee a team of technical denial follow-up analysts (6-15 employees) to ensure accurate claims processing, timely payments, and compliance with regulations like HIPAA.

Core Responsibilities
Supervision:
Lead and manage a team of collections staff to ensure efficient workflow, productivity, and adherence to goals.
Process management:
Oversee the day-to-day operations of insurance follow-up and denials management.
Quality assurance:
Conduct audits and review insurance claims and patient invoices for accuracy and completeness.
Problem-solving:
Resolve complex or escalated billing issues with patients and payers and rectify inefficiencies.
Performance monitoring:
Track key revenue cycle metrics, prepare performance reports, and implement strategies to reduce outstanding balances.
Training and development:
Train staff on day-to-day processes.
Compliance:
Ensure the team adheres to all relevant laws and regulations, including HIPAA, payer guidelines, and state and federal rules.
Collaboration:
Work with other departments, such as finance and clinical staff, to improve overall revenue cycle processes.
Job Duties
Supervises day-to-day operations of assigned group.
Ensures production and quality control standards are met by reviewing management reports.
Assigns workload to meet production requirements by evaluating production reports.
Maintains performance standards by counseling employees, performing appraisals, and providing required training.
Ensures departmental policies and procedures are followed; in addition, develops and revises policies and procedures as needed.
Maintains written procedures for workflow by writing or updating procedures as needed; communicates and educates all applicable information to appropriate personnel and affiliated facilities as required.
Completes reporting to management.
Compiles and analyzes reports, status and issues involving all aspects of assigned area; makes recommendations to management to reflect changes by reviewing various reports and other data, identifies conflicts and writes resolutions.
Participates in project groups and task force teams.
Completes special projects as assigned by management.
Reviews and analyzes information, identifies problems, recommends solutions and/or writes reports for management or other personnel within established performance guidelines; provides training and makes effective business presentations to staff.
Monitors correspondence received from various sources; audits mail returned for bad addresses and updates addresses as needed; audits patient accounts for mailing problems.
Resolves complex problems and questions by contacting insurance companies, places of employment, or federal agencies.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Shift 8‑hour flex shift, Monday through Friday.
Work From Home (WFH) This is a WFH position. The applicant must live within the Greater DFW area. Additional details shall be discussed during the interview.

Education High School Diploma or equivalent.
Experience 5 years experience working with medical claims recovery and/or denials management and regulations within a healthcare or insurance environment.
Preferred 5 years in a lead or supervisory experience.
