Ulteig is seeking exceptional candidates for the position of Lead Construction Inspector, helping to bring the most impactful transportation and water infrastructure projects in the U.S. from vision to reality. In this exciting role, you’ll join our elite Critical Infrastructure Command Team, a talented, traveling team of construction quality professionals helping the most complex infrastructure projects meet quality, regulatory, schedule, and budget milestones, and solving challenges others may shy away from.
From bridges and highways to tunnels, dams, and channels, you will be responsible for observing, monitoring, and documenting the work performed in the field by construction and contracting crews, coordinating, and overseeing daily work tasks for a diverse team of field inspectors, all while learning from the best of the best.
This position is for those interested in traveling, exploring, and deploying to multi-billion-dollar, transformative projects across the U.S. It requires travel for extended periods of time, approximately 75%-80% of the year, with generous paid allowances for time spent with loved ones. Some working hours will be during evenings, overnight, and weekends.

What You’ll Do
Provide support to the engineers and act as an assistant construction project team leader and manager with assigned responsibility for the coordination, execution, and construction management of engineering projects.
Perform calculations using engineering formulas and skills.
Assist with analysis for the development and implementation of engineering and construction-related services.
Assist with other field staff and ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
Supervise and mentor less experienced staff and/or technical support, and help to hold team members accountable to the Critical Infrastructure Command Team’s high standards.
What We Expect From You
5 years of related experience in heavy civil construction inspection required
DOT, ACI, or related certifications for Asphalt and/or Concrete preferred
Excellent writing and communication skills
Excellent time management skills
Superior interpersonal and organizational skills
Self-motivated; able to work independently and with a project team

Additional Opportunity Details Target Base Compensation Range for this role is
$38.00 – $51.50 per hour.
