Apply locations Saint Louis Support Center Newton Support Center time type Full time posted on Posted 25 Days Ago job requisition id JR0041904 Sr. Manager, Senior Construction Project Manager-SE Duties & Responsibilities: Manage the Construction/Due Diligence & Field Construction management process for Panera with a heavy focus on new store development. Construction/Renovation/Remodel – Tenant build-outs and ground-up construction projects, including scheduling and communicating with consultants & general contractors, tracking progress, reviewing submitted reports, and providing recommended action steps towards project completion. Manage the project budgeting process - from project inception through the construction completion, utilizing historical data, industry/geographical cost indexing, and project scope analysis/value engineering utilizing field construction experience. Manage overall construction schedules and project information utilizing Procore, for your given territory. Work closely with the Design and Purchasing teams, as well as other departments within Panera to ensure that the projects are proceeding according to schedule. Identify, manage and minimize risks associated with challenging project variables including procurement, value engineering, and cost reduction, throughout entire project lifecycles. Able to manage and support external communications with design consultants, permit expediters, landlords, general contractors, utility companies, and city officials throughout the construction phases of the development. Maintain consistent focus on assisting Design & Procurement teams in reducing timelines and overall project durations from initial Development Committee review (1st Pass) to intermediate review (2nd Pass) through final review (CDO) to ultimately increase team productivity. Support various operational rollout initiatives by taking a lead role in cross functional meetings and ensure accountabilities are being met to achieve the desired outcome. Prepare and present project status on all applicable development projects at regularly scheduled project status meetings for your given territory. Work with manufacturers/distributors to provide the information/product needed to ensure on-time deliveries, to support the project openings. Qualifications (Education & Experience): BS or BA in related field preferred but not required. 5+ years’ experience working in field construction project management, multi-unit development or similar project management/development fields. Previous experience in ground-up and fit-out construction is required. Restaurant construction experience is preferred. Ability to read & analyze Architectural/MEP/Structural drawings is required. Previous experience managing project scopes/budgets in the range of $1,000,000 to $3,000,000 per project is required—Urban, Traditional, and Non Traditional development is required. Excellent computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office. Strong organizational, scheduling & time management skills. Ability to work both independently and as a team player and thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment dependent on managing multiple project timelines and schedules simultaneously. Ability to communicate well, and work productively with internal and external individuals within the architectural, design, construction, procurement, real estate and local city building and planning communities. Strong work ethic, high degree of professionalism with the ability to work with little supervision, handle multiple tasks in an organized manner, produce quality work and meet strict deadlines. 50% travel to site locations is required. Working Conditions: This role will be responsible for a territory in the SE. Preferred candidates will be based in the Southeastern United States. This role is remote with 50% travel in the territory. Physical Requirements: While performing this job, the incumbent is regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear & use hands and fingers to operate keyboards. May require lengthy time in bakery-cafe including pre-opening/post-closing. About Us
