Job Summary:
The Consultative Pharmacy Technician serves as the primary intake contact for all inbound calls from patients, pharmacies, and providers. This role focuses on providing high-quality customer support, administrative assistance, and medication‑related guidance within established protocols. You’ll handle routine and patterned assignments, perform data entry, manage patient inquiries, and triage cases requiring pharmacist review. The position also includes making outbound calls to patients to discuss Medication Therapy Management (MTM) programs and schedule consultations with pharmacists.
Responsibilities:
Serve as the first point of contact for patients, providers, and pharmacies.
Address questions related to assigned areas and assist with medication research.
Make outbound calls to patients to offer MTM programs and schedule medication reviews.
Perform administrative, clerical, and customer support functions within defined guidelines.
Maintain compliance with Medicare/Medicaid regulations and company policies.
Required Skills:
Active Pharmacy Technician license in the state of residence (FL, OH, or AZ).
Eligible to work with Medicare/Medicaid.
Strong communication, customer service, and organizational skills.
Ability to work under supervision and follow established procedures.
Preferred Skills:
Experience in logistics, distribution, or manufacturing environments.
Familiarity with mainframe or menu‑driven systems.
Strong multitasking and organizational skills.
Proven ability to stay productive and assist others during downtime.
